Audaciously routine: treating 30 million people for neglected tropical diseases in the Democratic Republic of Congo
The Democratic Republic of Congo is immense. Diverse terrain, connected by unpredictable roads, makes the logistical hurdle of conducting massive simultaneous health interventions difficult. For years, the Ministry of Health has worked to provide annual treatment for neglected tropical diseases and now the country is seeing gains by lifting the burden for entire communities. This short film follows Dr. Vincent Kamwasha from the United Front Against River Blindness as he sees the obstacles firsthand.
